Behind the Hollywood Indicator is the new task of award winning artist Ted VanCleave, who took the popular symbol even more and photographically captured far more than commonly satisfies the eye. Here is an excerpt from the press launch we were sent by the artist: “My new collection offers a scarce view of the Hollywood Indicator that is mysterious to most folks. It’s a bit edgy, allowing you to see the framework of the Indication with it’s braces and corrugated facade. If you glance intently you can see protection cameras and preservation ladders mounted to it. From guiding the Sign you can see greater Los Angeles and Lake Hollywood and you can even see helicopters traveling by. Of program The Indicator is more than the sum of it’s areas. It’s far more than large letters overlooking LA. It has a everyday living, a daily life of it’s possess. And this series will allow you to see Los Angeles from the point of view of the Hollywood Signal, from the top of Mt Lee, 1,800 ft superior staring down on the sprawling flatlands of Los Angeles, from downtown LA to the Pacific Ocean”. The project features 18 new images of the Indication as it has in no way been witnessed ahead of - appreciate !
